congressman (cd-14)

Congressman Guy Reschenthaler was sworn into office for a third term on January 3, 2023 to represent Pennsylvania’s 14th Congressional District including Washington, Fayette, Greene, and portions of Westmoreland Counties.

Guy currently serves on both the House Appropriations Committee and the House Committee on Rules. In addition to serving as the Elected Leadership Committee Representative for the Class of 116, Guy was selected by Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy to serve on the China Task Force. Guy also serves the Republican Chief Deputy Whip for the 118th congress. 

Guy's priorities include limiting government and lowering taxes, reforming our criminal justice system, supporting our nation's veterans, combatting Communist China, and helping senior citizens. He is fighting for his constituents in southwestern Pennsylvania every day to create jobs and preserve every person's freedom and opportunity to achieve the American Dream.

Congressman Glenn "GT" Thompson was first elected to Congress in 2008 for the state's 5th congressional district; Thompson was redistricted to the 15th congressional district in the 2018 election by an order of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. 

GT has been the No. 1 speaker on the House Floor for the past five years. He views this as a responsibility to be a strong voice for the citizens of the Fifteenth District and an opportunity to influence the Washington legislative agenda.

As a descendant of a long line of dairy farmers, Representative Thompson is proud to serve as the Republican Leader of the House Agriculture Committee. Representative Thompson is also a senior member of the House Education & Labor Committee.  

state SENATOR

Joe Pittman was elected as the State Senator for the 41st Senatorial District in a May 21, 2019 special election to complete the unexpired term of Senator Don White, who retired on February 28, 2019, after 18 years of service. He was reelected for a full four-year term in November 2020.

Senator Pittman serves as Chairman of the Senate Urban Affairs and Housing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Senate Environmental Resources & Energy Committee. He is a member of four additional Senate Committees: Appropriations, Banking & Insurance, Consumer Protection & Professional Licensure, and Judiciary. He also serves as the Senate Republican Caucus representative on the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) Board of Directors. On November 15, 2022, Senator Pittman was elected as Senate Majority Leader.

state representative (hd-62)

State Rep. Jim Struzzi is in his third term of service to residents of the 62nd Legislative District, which includes all of southern Indiana County. 

He has also been asked to again serve on the board of the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST), which funds sewer, storm water and drinking water projects throughout the Commonwealth. 

Jim’s experience includes many years as a journalist, press secretary with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) for Districts 10 and 11, and president of the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce. He currently lives in White Township with his wife and four children.

state representative (hd-66)

State Rep. Brian Smith is in his second term of service to residents of the 66th Legislative District, which includes all of Jefferson County and the Indiana County communities of Banks, Canoe, East Mahoning, Grant, Green, Montgomery, North Mahoning, Rayne, South Mahoning and West Mahoning townships and Cherry Tree, Ernest, Glen Campbell, Marion Center, Plumville and Smicksburg boroughs.

Prior to his election to the House, Brian was elected to the Punxsutawney Borough Council in 2014 and became council president in 2016. Brian has also previously served as a board member and vice president of the Punxsutawney Chamber of Commerce; and president and treasurer of the Punxsutawney Rotary Club, where he was named Rotarian of the Year by his peers in 2016 and was awarded the Rotary “Person Of Action” award in 2020.

COMMISSIONER chairman

Commissioner Chairman R. Michael Keith began serving as an Indiana County Commissioner in January of 2020. Mike has thirty-four years of experience in different levels of manufacturing, forty-eight years of emergency management experience, and eight years of local government service as a township supervisor. He brings strong leadership skills, a wealth of community service knowledge and years of dedication to serve this community in this position as Indiana County Commissioner.

Mike’s has served as the Chairman of the Rayne Township Board of Supervisors, President of the Indiana County Association of Township Officials, Chairman of the Indiana County Tax Committee, President of the Indiana Westmoreland Council of Government, member of the Indiana County Local Emergency Planning Committee, Mahoning Medical Center Board of Directors, and many other positions to promote Indiana County, encourage education and growth and help provide ideas and solutions to the challenges we face.

COMMISSIONER

Commissioner Robin Gorman began serving as an Indiana County Commissioner in January of 2020 after a nearly thirty-year career in workforce and economic development all in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Commissioner Gorman’s professional accomplishments include her most recent post as Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Chief Community and Government Relations Officer and Executive Assistant to the President. She has worked for IUP since 1999 and worked directly for the President since 2005 where her responsibilities were as she describes it, "like running a small community inside of a larger community." She has experience working with all levels of state, federal and local government, being fiscally responsible, working with multi-million-dollar budgets, working with unions, housing, health and safety while finding ways to cut costs and to work smarter not harder.

Commissioner Gorman has a BA in Secondary Education in English with a minor in Communications from the University of Pittsburgh, and she holds an Instructional One Teaching Certificate for grades six through twelve. Commissioner Gorman earned her Master of Science degree in Workforce Education and Development from Penn State University.

Prothonotary & Clerk of Courts

Randy Degenkolb is married to his wife Cathy (Armstrong) Degenkolb. They both reside north of Indiana near their daughter Molly and her family's home. 

Randy has served as the Prothonotary & Clerk of Courts since 2010. Since taking office, Randy has introduced many changes to upgrade the office and to modernize processes. Services provided to those utilizing this office are continuously being reviewed and improved. Much work has been done to digitize forms and documents and many processes have been streamlined to provide consistency and efficiency.

register and recorder

Maria Jack proudly began her four-year term as the Recorder of Deeds, Register of Wills, and Clerk of Orphans’ Court in January of 2022. She previously served as an Indiana County Auditor for two years before moving to the Recorders Office, where she was nominated by the Party to fill the unexpired term of her long-time predecessor Patty Streams-Warman. 

Maria graduated from the IUP Eberly College of Business with a Marketing degree. Additionally, Maria serves as Treasurer of the Indiana County Republican Committee  and has chaired and served on various campaign committees. Her volunteer work includes past Board Member of Indiana Regional Medical Center, Armstrong/Indiana/Clarion Drug & Alcohol Commission, St. Bernard’s of Clairvaux Church, and Board Member Emeritus for the Alice Paul House. She is a life-long resident of Indiana where she raised her two children Suzy & Michael.

The role of her office is to provide and protect the precious records of this County which includes recording of all land documents, estates, guardianships and adoptions. She is working hard at modernizing documents through digitization, providing the newest software needed for public access of documents, and preserving the historical documents she is legally responsible to maintain. She looks forward to the challenge of providing these services in the most cost-effective ways with help from her hard-working team!

treasurer

Kimberly McCullough was elected in 2016 as an Indiana County Auditor and started as the Elected Indiana County Treasurer in 2018. Currently, she sits on the board of the County Treasurers' Association of Pennsylvania as secretary. 

When not at work, McCullough is busy volunteering as a leader for both Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts, the Indiana County Girl Scout Day Camp Director, serving on council for Zion Lutheran Church, treasurer of her children's Parent Teacher Association and is a member of the Indiana Kiwanis Club. She also is an active member of her dart club. Kimberly McCullough resides in White Township with her three young children.

Auditor Chairman

Dr. Bonni S. Dunlap is serving her second term as a County Auditor. Prior to becoming an auditor, Bonni was the Executive Director of the Housing Authority of Indiana County for five years and Director of Human Services for the County for twenty-three years. She is the Vice President of the state association of County Auditors, Vice President of the Indiana Kiwanis Club, board member of the Burrell Township Library, hand bell choir member of the United Presbyterian Church of Blairsville and a member of the Chestnut Ridge Thursday Night Golf League. She is a life long resident of the county and lives in Black Lick Township with her husband, Rex.

In her role as an auditor, Bonni strives to ensure that county government funds are being spent properly. She has assisted in auditing tax collectors, lodging establishments, department invoices, special accounts and forfeiture accounts. If inefficiencies are noted when monitoring county funds, she provides recommendations to the appropriate officials. The role of Auditor is an important one in ensuring accountability for county government.

Auditor

Eric Miller is serving his first term as a County Auditor. Eric was previously employed as a corrections officer at the Indiana County Jail and more recently served as second deputy in the Indiana County Treasurer’s Office.

Eric and his family own and operate a small beef farm in Rayne Township. Additionally, Eric volunteers as a coach for Marion Center youth wrestling and football teams.

District attorney

District Attorney Robert F. "Bob" Manzi, Jr. has been serving the citizens of Indiana County as the Chief Law Enforcement Officer since 2020. Manzi is a graduate of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania with undergraduate degrees in Criminology and Psychology ('99) and a Masters degree in Criminology ('01). Manzi worked in the juvenile justice system from 1999 until his graduation from the Widener University School of Law in 2007. After being admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar, Manzi served for five years as an assistant district attorney in Bucks and Delaware counties, focusing on complex financial fraud prosecution. Manzi and his family moved back to Indiana County in 2012 when he was hired as an associate attorney at Holsinger, Clark & Armstrong, P.C. and earned partnership at the firm in 2018.  

Manzi has significant experience as a trial attorney — serving as first chair in over 60 jury trials and over 75 non-jury trials. As District Attorney, Manzi serves as the chair of the Indiana County Criminal Justice Advisory Board, Secretary for the Prison Board, member of the Drug Court and Veterans Court Treatment teams, board member for the Pennsylvania District Attorney Institute, and board member for the Pennsylvania Mental Health and Justice Advisory Committee. Manzi regularly conducts presentations at county schools, senior centers, and fire companies regarding crime prevention issues. Additionally, he is the chief of the Indiana County Drug Task Force which is responsible for the investigation and prosecution of drug dealers throughout the county.

sheriff

Sheriff Robert "Bob" Fyock is currently serving his 19th year as Indiana County Sheriff. Prior to becoming Sheriff, he served in the U.S. Army as a Military Police Officer, and worked as a correctional officer, deputy sheriff, warden, and chief county detective for Indiana County. He has a total of 50 years in law enforcement. He is a life-long resident of Indiana County and lives in White Township with his wife Barbara.

Sheriff Fyock strives to make the Sheriff’s Office an integral part of law enforcement in Indiana County. He serves on numerous civic and non-profit boards and committees, and continues to be involved with community service and functions throughout Indiana County. He strives to being involved with crime prevention, being involved with our youth to help them be responsible and law-abiding individuals, and seeing that educational information is provided to the public for their safety and protection. Sheriff Fyock remains committed to educating, protecting, and serving all citizens of Indiana County.

coroner

Jerry Overman began his service as Indiana County Coroner in 2017. Prior to his election to the office of coroner, he served as deputy coroner.

The Indiana County Coroner's Office is dedicated to: the professional forensic investigation of all sudden and unexpected deaths; operating as an Independent and non-biased agency in the investigatory process; the advancement of medico-legal knowledge through continuing education; the prevention of unnecessary and untimely death through public awareness and safety programs for citizens of all ages; and compassionate care and assistance​ for those affected by the loss of a loved one.
